Introduction

In my final year of study at Birmingham City University, a portion of my time was dedicated to a final year project, which was to include research, development and a conclusion.

For my project, I decided to investigate the benefits of emotional effects in video games, and how these could potentially be used to aid with teaching; producing an immersive learning experience for students. The aim of the project was to investigate and inform developers and teachers about the educational benefits of immersive virtual experiences, and how these may be improved upon.
